Alabama Medicaid's quality improvement activities are designed to improve
the overall health outcomes of all recipients by identifying and targeting
areas for improvement and to track and measure progress. Two key focus
areas include Continuous Quality Improvement Cycle and the Quality
Framework.
The Agency has taken a leadership role in the
Alabama Healthcare
Improvement and Quality Alliance (AHIQA) which is working to
provide a venue for collaboration and coordination of health care quality
activities across organization and health care settings.
