Federal regulations allow Medicaid to pay
health insurance premiums for individuals who
have high cost medical conditions and cannot
continue to pay their health plan premiums due
to job loss, medical leave or other reasons.
Individuals in this program include pregnant
women, cancer and HIV patients and low
birthweight / pre-term infants.
